Countdown to Something Big

I haven’t been doing astrology long enough to be very good at it, and while my new book, Under a Libra God resolves several big problems within contemporary astrology it takes a lifetime to really become an expert.

That being said, the end of the year is rapidly approaching and suddenly we only have three weeks until 2026 begins. This is a remarkable time and age, and there is an abundance of world events converging at once which will reshape the world order for the next 40 years. Specifically, we are arriving at the famous conjunction of Saturn and Neptune which occurs about every 36 years and correlates with great events such as the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War, or the start of the Cold War which began at the previous conjunction in 1952 (which occurred in the middle of the Korean War), or the Russian Revolution in 1917, and so on (Under a Libra God discusses much more about this kind of stuff).

Neptune represents either spirituality or delusion, and Saturn represents institution, rules, and structure and so also represents governments, nations, and society, so when these two combine it always concerns the ideals of society and the structures and priorities of governments, but since Neptune is not only spirituality but also delusion there are always elements to the conjunction which are also entirely rooted in delusion. For instance, the 1952 conjunction occurred for the United States in the 4th house of Home and Family (the USA’s zodiac sign is Cancer), so that conjunction centered for the USA on their literal homeland, and there were many years through that Saturn/Neptune cycle in which the country delusionally tried to define what it meant to be an American, such the heinous McCarthyism hearings and blacklisting of people suspected of being communist sympathizers in a country which ostensibly has the freedom of speech enshrined in its constitution (Uranus at the time was also transiting the USA’s 1st house of the Self which also concerns identity). Pluto, the planet of control and power, was also in the USA’s 2nd house of Means, which not only concerns income but how one earns their income, and the post-war era for the USA saw unprecedented growth and economic expansion but which was achieved largely through war, domination, and exploitation as might be expected from the planet of control and power.

The conjunction we are currently in has already started, and began earlier this year when Saturn and Neptune barely touched to begin the conjunction before going retrograde, and will be exact early next year (in a little over 2 months) at February 20, 2026, while its effects of the new cycle beginning will play out for the next few years. This conjunction is quite notable for having multiple additional simultaneous aspects, being sextile also with both Uranus and Pluto at once which thus are also in trine aspect to each other. This is where my inexperience with astrology leaves me guessing since I’m not really sure what this could mean, but Uranus is the planet of technology and revolution and Pluto the planet of power and control, and this could perhaps indicate peaceful revolution achieved through technology (such as the internet?) which, honestly, does describe what we have already been seeing, although I’m not sure anyone has really grasped the sheer magnitude of the shift which is occurring and has already occurred.

In the approach to this final countdown, however, we also see the parade of Venus, Mercury, the Sun, and Mars all conjunct with Pluto around the last week of January (those planets all recently paraded opposite to Uranus in the first week of December which caused cryptocurrency markets quite a bit of instability). This likely indicates something quite explosive occurring during the last part of January in which significant plays for power and shifts in power dynamics occur. Whichever direction that occurs, however, I cannot say, but since all the planets but Jupiter are involved I can guarantee that January and February of 2026 will be written about in history books. Conjunctions are always both the ending of the old cycle and beginning of the new one, so we can say goodbye to the old world order and look forward to one anew.

For the USA this Saturn and Neptune conjunction occurs in our 10th house of Society, and so this next cycle of our history which begins now will concern how we are perceived by the world, which will likely be an accumulation and culmination of all our history of violence, genocide, racism, etc., which we have heaped upon the world, a reconning that will likely not be entirely pleasant but may finally put to rest some of the evils which have been committed in the name of the USA. While Uranus is in good aspect to the conjunction it is also in the USA’s 11th house of Fortune which governs wealth and friends, and Uranus being also the planet of instability this likely describes the volatile state of finances and diplomacy the USA has currently gotten itself into, while Pluto is also in our 8th house of power and control in which we also attempt to assert control whether wise or not. Andre Barbault, the great astrologer who died in 2019, described this conjunction as a ‘great reset of society,’ and if he is right there is likely much wonder ahead for us all. At least, I hope so.
